Your files

Images, video, audio and projects are stored in your browser's storage on your computer (IndexedDB). They are never sent to us.

Cloud storage (optional)

You can connect your own storage — a synced folder (iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar), or Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox directly. Colorpool then keeps your files and projects in a folder called “Colorpool” there, so you can continue on another computer.

Files travel directly between your browser and your storage provider. They never pass through our servers and we cannot see them. Colorpool asks only for access to its own “Colorpool” folder (Google Drive: files created by Colorpool; OneDrive and Dropbox: an app folder), not to the rest of your files. The sign-in key stays in your browser; you can disconnect at any time in Account → Cloud, and you can also revoke access in your Google, Microsoft or Dropbox account settings. Deleted files go to “Colorpool/Šiukšliadėžė” (trash) in your storage, so nothing is lost by mistake.

Colorpool's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from Google Drive is used only to show, open and save your Colorpool files, is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not read by people.

Accounts (optional)

You do not need an account to use the apps. If you sign in, we store your email address, an optional name, your teacher licence and the classes you create, in Cloudflare D1 in the EU. Sign-in uses a one-time link sent by email: we keep only a fingerprint (hash) of each link and session, never a password. The session key is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.

Students with a class code

Students do not create accounts. When a student joins a class, we store only the nickname they type and a random ID for that browser, so the teacher can see who joined. No email, no name, no age.

Emails

Sign-in links and invitations are sent through a Colorpool Gmail account (Google). Replies go to [email protected].

Colorpool AI (approved accounts)

Colorpool AI tools (for example YouTube audio and video, subtitles, voice cleanup and songs) run on the server of VDU STEAM Didactics Centre at steam.vdu.lt, which supports Colorpool. They are available only to accounts approved by the Colorpool administrator. When you use them, your browser sends the file or text you choose directly to steam.vdu.lt together with a short-lived access token; the result is sent back to you. Other Colorpool apps work entirely in your browser.

The website

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it processes your IP address to deliver pages and stop abuse. We do not add trackers, ads or analytics scripts.

Microphone

Colorpool Music, Colorpool Games and Colorpool Audio can record from your microphone after the browser asks you. Recordings stay on your computer.

Deleting your data

Ask Gabrielius Plungė and your account and class data are deleted. Teachers can remove students from their class at any time.
